Since 1995 we’ve been oriented towards the construction of an energy efficient or zero private housing.

Around April 2006 we obtained of a piece of land on which to build our dream. Furthermore a requirement applied to this ground was for an ecological building. The search for materials for a zero house focused on ecological and sustainable insulation, wall construction and window frames for example.

On July 23, 2007 it was decided to intensify our partnership working with the Ronald Hezemans Zero House Project and the ACT (Achterhoeks center technology). To better establish this cooperation and knowledge, a website, which was initially set up to follow a zero house building belonging to the Serné family, was customized. Now it’s also possible to follow the Ronald Hezemans Zero House Project on the site, and it is available to ACT participants; those seeking to build on that knowledge in the expanding zero, low-energy and passive house property market.

Meanwhile, potential participants wishing to use new zero house innovative ideas can try out new ideas. These include ideas in the areas of PV panels, heat recovery, heat storage, phase change materials and transducers for the panels.
